They are looking for a HEAD OF PRODUCTION 

Manages:
Supply Chain Team, Product devs, GT, sample room

Reports into MD
Works with:
Board Directors, Leadership & Finance Team.

Responsible for the OVERALL DIRECTION of the Company’s SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS, including
product development; selection of suppliers; procurement of raw materials / finished goods and
logistics.
Develops strategic plans (functional strategies and specific objectives) to continually optimise /
improve margin, productivity, quality and efficiency of the supply chain.
Develops budgets / policies / procedures to support the functional infrastructure of the supply chain.
To DIRECT and OVERSEE the Managers in the SUPPLY CHAIN team to ensure effective planning,
management, procurement, and control of the development and manufacturing processes,
(manufacturing CLOTHES for REAL PEOPLE AT WORK) to ensure goods and services are produced and
managed efficiently, in the correct amounts, at the right cost and level of quality, to facilitate on-time
delivery for all orders. – Enabling the best margin for every product and every order.
To ensure the utilisation of the company systems to the maximum level to achieve efficiency and
transparency across all tasks.
Responsible for the PEOPLE MANAGEMENT and DEVELOPMENT of the Supply Chain Team.
To ensure all sourcing, development and manufacturing of GARMENTS is carried out in line with the
Ethical, Sustainable and Environmental objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
PLANNING
1. Works with Sales and Client Services Director(s) on ‘forward product commitment’ to forecast
production planning and scheduling.
2. Oversees Technical team and Production Managers in the management of the Supply Chain
Critical Path and production / factory schedules.
3. Supply Chain Lead in the New Business and Existing Business Project Team responsible for
understanding project objectives, assessing supply chain capabilities, planning resources and
the allocation and delegation of work to fully meet the requirement(s) of the Project Brief.
4. Ensures optimal use / management of the companies PLM system and associated trackers.
5. Responsible for the Supply Chain B.I. Reporting on Key performance indicators – delivery in full,
on time, at the right price and right quality

PROCUREMENT
6. Accountable for the procurement and inventory control of all raw materials and finished
goods on behalf of the company. – Excluding ‘stock buy-ins’ and inventory post-delivery
(GRN) into the company’s warehouse(s).
7. Responsible for the selection and development of preferred manufacturing partners and
suppliers and the management of the Supplier Contracts ensuring contractual SLA’s
are adhered to at all times (including ethical and sustainability practices). ensuring suppliers
are appropriately accredited and audited in line with the company’s requirements and
accreditations and audit records logged.

PERFORMANCE
8. Accountable for the companies’ costings & margins and (in conjunction with the MD & Sales
Director) the companies pricing strategy.
9. Planning, organising and overseeing the entire workflow (critical path) for all PROJECTS to
ensure all products and services are produced efficiently, in the correct amounts, at the right
cost, to quality standards and on time.
10. Overseeing the Development & Production Teams and Suppliers; establishing priorities;
monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting progress/issues to the
Managing Director and Leadership Team.
11. Working with Managing Director and Leadership Team to implement  company policies
and goals.
12. Maintaining quality service and products (quality control) by ensuring established policies and
standard operating processes and procedures/organisation standards are adhered to
(compliance).
13. Supporting negotiations to obtain and secure the best possible cost prices for each PRODUCT
to ensure optimal margins achieved with appropriate MOQ’s.
PEOPLE
14. Accountable for the Supply Chain departmental functions and processes.
15. Responsible for the ‘RECRUITMENT, DIRECTION & LEADERSHIP’ and ‘ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES’
of the supply chain team; communicating job expectations; monitoring and evaluating
performance and development; identifying training needs; motivating and disciplining if
required. Resolving personnel issues by; investigating; identifying solutions and recommending
action.
16. Working with the LEADERSHIP TEAM to ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination
between relevant departments.
17. Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;
reviewing professional publications and on the job training.
The performance of general TASKS and DUTIES related to your role in order to ensure the
smooth running of the SUPPLY CHAIN within the business.

Experience:

• At least 8 -10 years’ experience in production and supply chain management
• Advanced Excel stills
• Ability to learn and report using ERP system (Primal Solutions or other)
• Critical path tool – such a Street Smart or other
